The scoreboard read ----- Manchester United 7 . Roma 1Yes... My beloved Manchester United crushed Roma 7-1... Isn't it unbelievable??Before the match started, I was biting my fingers, eagerly waiting for it to start, but I was also VERY worried because Manchester United was trailing Roma 2-1 in the 1st leg & never has Manchester United progress into the next round losing the 1st leg! They have NEVER done that before! History was against Manchester United & my heart was thumping damn fast as I watch the match unfold...Then came the 1st goal (12th min)... Manchester United took the lead through Michael Carrick.. Alan Smith then doubled Manchester United's lead on the 17th min with a classic finish.. 2 minutes later, Wayne Rooney then scored the 3rd goal as Manchester United led Roma by 3-0.. I was jumping for joy after Rooney scored.. Manchester United was leading the aggregate score by 4-2.. I was quietly confident that Manchester United would progress into the Semi Finals of the Champions League.. My eyes was filled with tears of joy as I watched my beloved Manchester United tear Roma apart.. Cristiano Ronaldo then scored a minute before half time.. My beloved team was leading 4-0.. Four minutes after the restart, Cristiano Ronaldo scored again.. United was leading Roma 5-0.. Then in the 60th min, Michael Carrick scored the 6th goal of the night before Roma pulled one back on the 69th min.. Patrice Evra then thumped in the last goal of the night... A dejected Roma side had lost 7-1 against Manchester United.. Roma had been outplayed & outclassed by Manchester United & Roma's coach Luciano Spalletti was outwitted by the Master of Mind Games. the person I respect most in my entire life, he's the Manchester United's manager Sir Alex Ferguson! Manchester United's performance was awe inspiring & I was absolutely astonished with the way Manchester United played.. It was the 1st time in my life that I see Manchester United tear apart a side that is considered one of the best in Europe! I was speechless.. Their performance was FIRST-CLASS & I had no complaints about it..The result was special.. VERY special.. Manchester United had lost 2 successive games, against Roma & Portsmouth before they came to this game.. I've said many times that Sir Alex would make sure Manchester United recovers! He'll definitely make sure Manchester United bounces back.. There is absolutely no question about that! But one thing's for sure.. He IS the Master of Mind Games.. He simply & astutely said after the defeat to Portsmouth: "I expect them (Manchester United) to recover"... It was a marvellous psycology by Sir Alex.. He doesn't panic, he doesn't moan & he doesn't blame.. He simply EXPECTS & the players delivered..I always knew, I always trust & I always believe that Manchester United would deliver.. I never for once doubted that.. They didn't let me down this time & they have left a BIG smile on my face! I've got 3 words for Manchester United: "I Love You"... As for the person I respect most in my entire life, Sir Alex Ferguson.. I can only do one thing.. I salute him! I take my hats off to him.. Really.. Without him.. Manchester United will falter! Sir Alex... You ROCKS!!!*I Love You Nico*
